Wha's Like Us
There are many groups that play Celtic music. Some are good, some are not. Listed here are the favorite groups of Haggis Rampant members:
Scantily Plaid - Bob Worrall, Doug Feaver, and Ruth Sutherland combine to create a unique sound with a mix of tunes you already know and some original stuff. The "Just Checking In" album has become one of my favorites.
The Rogues - a Grammy Award nominated group for two albums in a row. These guys play a mix of tradional and original music, and are a must hear group. All instrumental (2 bagpipes and 2 drums), they are one of the most entertaining groups around.
Seanachie - Featuring the piping of Ann Gray, this outstanding group from Canada has some wonderful music. If you don't have their CDs, your collection is lacking......
Kilts of Many Colours - Yes, Haggis Rampant plays with this group, usually in Mardi Gras parades and St. Patrick Day events. No, they really aren't like us, but we have a lot of fun with this group.
